Birmingham

As many of you know we lost Izzy to lymphoma this Labor Day weekend. We had been aware of it for about 5 weeks when we decided to put her down due to her quality of life and where it was headed. I started this blog many months ago and Izzy was my trial post titled "The Passport Eater" after she had eaten my passport and I was expecting to leave the country soon. She was a wonderful friend to me and Hughes. He really misses her and still talks about her. I knew we would have another 4 legged friend someday, but did not want to train a puppy and a toddler at the same time.

We got a nice surprise when we learned of a 3 ish year old yellow lab named Bubba living in Birmingham, Alabama that needed a home. I work with a nice young lady that is from Birmingham and learned of this dog from her mother. I decided that we needed him and maybe he needed us. He came home on the 29th of December and has been perfect. I hope you enjoy these pictures of him.
