Visit at Shelley and Tom's

We enjoyed one of the last decent days before it got too cold. They had a nice outdoor patio party with a fire pit roaring, hotdogs on the grill, and mulled cider that was delicious. Hughes and his new friend Nolan (adopted from Korea). Nolan is Shelley and Tom's nephew.

Gathering wood for the bonfire

Hughes and my nephew were dragging wood over to the bonfire area to break. We started the bonfire at night and Hughes enjoyed roasted marshmallows.

Roller Coaster

The pumpkin farm had a small roller coaster and Hughes loved it. He rode it 3 times.

A Day at the Pumpkin Farm

We met Suzy, Hannah and their family at the pumpkin farm and Hughes had a blast. I never knew how much money I would spend on ride tickets. This is Hannah and Hughes near the petting zoo and in the barrels that were pulled by a tractor. I was a little nervous with the barrel ride

Circus day

I didn't get many pictures at the circus but here is Hughes ready to go and eating cotton candy (for the 1st time) at the circus.

Hannah and Hughes

Hannah lives in our cul-de-sac and is adopted from China. Her mother and I met at work years ago and she let me know that a house near her was for sale, which I bought 6 yrs ago. We have been neighbors ever since and have watched each other become mothers through adoption. Hughes adores Hannah who is 5yrs old.

Pumpkin Fest Morton, IL

I have been hearing about Morton, IL and their Pumkin Festival for many years. It is the pumpkin capitol of the world and home of the Libby plant. Here we are waiting for the parade to start and Hughes is with my nephew's girlfriend (Ta-Ta).
