4th Birthday

Hard to believe Hughes is 4 yrs old. We had a poolside party with many great friends and family. Hughes has the option each year of a homemade cake or a store purchased cake. The last 2 years he has asked for me to make it and tells me what he wants on it. This year he said he wanted a "jet plane", so that is what I attempted to make. I am not very creative, but he seems to love it anyway. You can see he stuck his finger in the end of the runway before I got a picture, oh well.

Sunset Cruise

We took a sunset cruise in Destin on the SeaBlaster. Over 100 people were on the boat which was 150 feet long. The captain let all the children drive that wanted to, of course HW did.

Beach Time

Spring 2011 vacation

Hughes, Jerry, and I went to Fort Walton Beach, Fl again this May. We had beautiful weather and stayed for a full week. It was an awesome vacation. We stayed at the same place we stayed last year, but opted for a outer condo with a beach view instead of looking into the courtyard pool area. It was a great choice for us, but one morning Hughes was playing with his legos on the balcony while we were getting breakfast ready when I discovered he was actually throwing them over the balcony into the sand and greenery below. After breakfast we took the empty lego tub out and around the backside of the condo to pick up all the legos. Arrrgh. Here is the view from the balcony and breakfast one morning.
